A Lutheran High School Strategic Planning Committee is in place. This group of committed individuals meet weekly to plan and execute the steps necessary to establish a Cedar Rapids Lutheran High School.
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod sponsors a program to assist the establishment of Lutheran High Schools. This program is called the Genesis Project. The Genesis Project offers proven effective strategies for establishing Lutheran schools and is staffed by trained consultants with experience in school administration. A Genesis Project consultant will conduct a feasibility study to help guide the LHS Strategic Planning Committee.
The formation of a Lutheran High School Delegate Assembly is needed. A LHS Delegate Assembly is comprised of 2 or more delegates from every LCMS congregation that is interested in the establishment of a Lutheran High School in Cedar Rapids. Delegates attend 4-6 meetings per year and advise and inform the LHS Strategic Planning Committee. Another purpose of the LHS Delegate Assembly is to foster open lines of communication between partnering congregations.
